Detail 1

AHSIN AHSIN is a multidisciplinary artist from Hamilton currently relocated to Carlton Melbourne. He recently graduated with a Bachelor of Media Arts Honours (First Class Honours) from Wintec. Ahsin has exhibited extensively throughout Aotearoa New Zealand in the Waikato, Bay of Plenty, Coromandel and currently showing at Tauranga Art Gallery with his first public gallery exhibition titled  “Neon Utopia” as part of the international show ‘MegaWorld.’ He has received significant commissions and has been invited to participate in international street art initiatives including a series in India. Ahsin is a prolific emerging artist compelled to create; his works are vibrant and dynamic, influenced by 1980s-90s sci-fi films and street art with a variety of artistic and pop culture references. His imagination distills into fantastic creatures and sigils, graffiti marks and gestures, suspended in hyperspace. He works his neo-pop style across a variety of surfaces that can be seen on the street in mural form and in galleries.

“I draw inspiration from the world around me, friends and life experiences.”
